Why I am a Druid?
My reasons are many, and mostly are part of comfort or maybe my own views of the world:
As I started my path as a pagan, I got to know traditional wicca. I realised that it wasn’t my path, quite early on. And before initiation I resigned from it. I did think that there has to be another way of respecting Goddess and nature.
And then I found Druidry, after a long thought, and felt better about the path. It is the correct path for me, it has restored my faith to nature and has given me an insight of a pagan path. Usually I do a simple ritual, just lighting a candle, and sitting in the dark and quiet house. I also might burn incense. I feel this is my correct path, I can't explain it better.

Hi, I became interested in Druidry several years ago after spending much of my life with interests in healing, crystals and trees to name but a few. Druidry for me, ties it all together and deepens the understanding by focusing on our Sacred connectedness and exploring our boundaries. I feel like I am truly Home since venturing upon this path. It is also wonderful to be a part of a group of like minded people sharing wisdom, learning and experiences.

Why am I a Druid?
Tricky one to answer, as to be honest now I am on the path formally, it just feels like I always have been but not knowing that meant not being complete.
Not being complete, (and by this I think I mean I have put my roots down into the earth and started to grow), means that when you are meant to be somewhere and you may be there and not know why, you can not draw all of the meaning from it!
I have spent lots of my life on my own (not because life put me there, but more from choice) even as a child I was happy playing on my own, and enjoy lots of time alone at work where I can really think and in a way talk to myself (not out loud that would probably be seen as wrong by anyone in earshot!), i enjoy the company of nature, and especially I am happy where there seems to be energy lines flowing well and I am with Tree's (trees to me represent "the ancient ones"). I also get lonely and bored if I spend too much time alone so am lucky to have good people with me like my good lady
Why a Druid ?? and why choose HOOD ?? There is a sense of being as in the midst of
dear friends about our global village where the harmonics are happily cordial and
mutually helpful too. There is a most unique sense of awareness in our surroundings,
of using all of 360 degrees of that awareness to better understand our world.
Why
a Druid of HOOD? There is the opportunity to be of
service to aid those who ask of
us, perhaps because we are one with the trees and the stars of this universe, then
part of a life as Druid is in the nurturing of life around us and carrying forward
a truly fine history and in working to build to the future of our pathway. Then such
is the tasking of our Motto 'SERVICE ABOVE SELF'
